The Effect of CICADA English Youth Magazine on Secondary School Orphans' Vocabulary Mastery

The low English vocabulary mastery has caused Baitul Hijrah Orphanage’s orphans poor achievement of English. Regarding the issue, this research was conducted to find a breakthrough help orphans’ improvement. In term boosting their need, researcher explored youth magazine as media be used. Thus, study aimed examine and compare between effects using textbook on students' mastery. This assigned true-experimental design test hypothesized relationship variables. sample 28 at second grade senior high school that were divided into control experimental group by systematic sampling method.
